No wireless device detected after installing windows 8 pro 64 bit

hello,

i have a Hp Probook 4530s, and i just recently installed windows 8 pro 64 bit on it.

The problem is i can not access wireless internet at all.

I have tried pressing start+I and going to PC settings but it there says i have no wireless devices installed.

Do you think its a driver issue?  maybe a wifi radio not installed?  If it helps i can run games...as you might tell i am not very technologically knowledgeable :smileyembarrassed:/

Hi,

The series has few  wireless adapter options, Please check Harware id to get the right adapter on your machine and post back. The following link shows you how to get hardware id:

Hi,

Re: No wireless device detected after installing windows 8 pro 64 bit

I'm very sorry but the video did not show me anything about finding the hardware id, although what I posted there earlier was what I previous found next to the hardware id

Re: No wireless device detected after installing windows 8 pro 64 bit

Hi,

The video shows you how to access to the Control Panel under Windows 8. From the Control panel, you need to look at Device Manager then Network Adapters  ... to find out hardware-id.

Regards.
