Pavillion G6- 2208Ca

Hi Guys,

I got myself a pavillion G6-2208Ca, which came preloaded with Win 8. This OS was really bothering me and did get on my nerves. So ...I  wiped it clean and put in Win 7 64bit. But ... now I do not have drivers for most of my hardware. Hp does give bluetooth drivers and bios update.. but thats all. I have tried in vain to get Ethernet/wireless drivers.

...and some how I have now got the display drivers, thankfully....

but still need my network adapter drivers and for a couple of 'Unknown devices' also!!!

Can anyone help??? please.. really stuck up here..thanks in advance.

Re: Pavillion G6- 2208Ca

I also really missing drivers for Windows 7
In any case I'll be happy to help you,

go to Device Manager and any unkown device do the right click on it -> properties -> go to Details tab -> choose Hardware ID.
Copy the same hardware ID here and I'll be happy to give you the appropriate drivers.
That way you do about all the unidentified adapter

Re: Pavillion G6- 2208Ca

Hi Ellior,

Thank you so much for giving methe links. Most of them have worked and I am now able to connect wirelessly. But the issue with the network adapter continues, ie for the ethernet. I have tried out many drivers, did run an auto diagnose of HP, it identified that the drivers need to updated and send me to the page with drivers for win8 :smileysad:.  ...no use there, then tried the one by microsoft, again it showed driver issues but had no soultions to offer.

I am getting the Code 10 error ( This device cannot start.) shown for it. ITs the Realtek PCIe FE family controller.

I am  adding the hardware ID below:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_1849103C&REV_05
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_1849103C
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_0200

is there any way you can help me with This????

And thanks a whole lot for getting me the links man....
