Re: how to connect my model 15-j053cl with 5ghz wireless signal

Hi,

Based on the followinf specs, your machine has " Intel 2x2 802.11b/g/n WLAN  "

  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03754263

but based on the following document, it could only be a single band:

   http://www.intel.com.au/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/centrino-wireless-n-22...

Please the Device manager to make sure what (which Intel card) is it, you can go from there.

Regards.

Re: how to connect my model 15-j053cl with 5ghz wireless signal

Hi,

The Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230 is a single band adapter and works on the 2.4GHz band ONLY. It does have Bluetooth.

Also mentioned it its specs:

   http://www.intel.com.au/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/centrino-wireless-n-22...

Hope this explains why.

Regards.
