Hi:

Download the driver file from another PC. Copy it to a USB flash drive. Plug that into your PC needing the driver and install from the flash drive.

Thanks, I've downloaded it from my USB flash drive unto the HP laptop, but now I still can't find the driver in the Device Manager, neither will Broadcom open up, even though I downloaded it.

Hi:

if the wireless card needs a driver, you should see a device listed as a network controller with a little yellow ! mark.

If you see such a thing, please post the hardware ID for it.

If you don't know where to find the hardware ID, please read the info at the link below.

http://www.devicedriverfinder.com/blog/device-drivers/how-to-check-the-hardware-id-for-a-windows-dev...

If you do not see any devices in the device manager with little yellow ! marks, then there is some other issue ranging from a loose card that needs to be reseated, a bad card, a bad motherboard or missing other software like the HP Wireless Assistant if that software download is listed on your PC's support and driver page.

Or try a hard reset of the notebook to see if that brings the wireless card back into view in the device manager.

Hi, Unknownboyz:

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why that is happening.  My expertise lies in finding hardware drivers for devices.

When they fail to get the job done or there are other issues not related to the driver, I do not have much experience with troubleshooting those things.

I suggest you start a new thread and see if someone else can assist you.

Good luck!
