i installed Win 7 onn my HP Pavilian dv8 and i get "no wireless network device detected" when i try to connect to the internet.
whaat shuold i do?

You probably need to install the drivers for the wireless adapter.
Go to your device manager and check your devices. There are probably several that have little ! marks which means they need drivers.
In order to assist you further, I will need the full model number of your dv8 notebook, what bit version of windows 7 you are running (32 or 64 bit).
Additionally, I will need the hardware ID's from each of the devices that need drivers.
In order to provide that information, please click on each device in the device manager. Then click on the details tab. In the Properties drop down list, select the second item (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see in the window.
Those will identify the type and model of the devices needing drivers, and I will send you the links to the driver installation files you need.

it is a 64 bit i7 8gb of ram
