Hi
Just got a cp1525nw and wanted to install E-print app on an IPOD.
Installed the E-print app but to use it over the web I need to activate the app.
I type in my email and then wait for the activation email that never arrives.
I have tried different emails but still no activation email.

cadillact,
The "ePrint app" is not the same as the ePrint you are trying to use on your LaserJet. I understand this can be confusing, hopefully I can clarify for you.
First off, the ePrint app is designed to find public printers located nearby. For example, a FedEx Kinkos may be a few miles away from you and you need to print something quickly and pick it up while you are in town.
Now, about ePrint on your LaserJet.
The first step is to have an ePrint capable printer that is connected to an active network connection. A complete list of ePrint Printers can be found by clicking this link.
Next, you have to enable Web Services from the front panel of your device. Once this is done, it will print out a report with an email address that has been assigned specifically to your printer.
Next, head over to the HP ePrintCenter and set up an account.
Now, all you have to do is send an email to the address that was provided when you first enabled Web Services and you are using ePrint. No app is required. This will work from any internet connected device that supports sending emails. If you have any further questions, you can always check out the documentation located on the HP ePrintCenter Help website.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!
Although I work for HP, my posts and replies are my own opinion and not those of HP.

Well I did manage to activate my eprint app on my Ipod.
Maybe it was s temporary snafu with sending out the activation info.
Well I get your point. I have aleady registered my 1525nw and got my email so I can email print job to my printer.
And you have explained the situation so I understand now.

I understand the difference between printing on my local printer via ePrint and using the ePrint app.
What I want to do is to print documents and photos from my iPad to my local web-enabled printer, via the ePrint app. When I open the ePrint app, I'm asked to activate the app, by first entering my email address, so that I would be sent me an activation code. I did that, and after receiving the activation code via email, I enterted the code and clicked Go. I got back an "activation error". I tried again, with the same result. I then entered my email address again, and got a new activation code sent to me. I entered that code, and again got an activation error.
I'm able to print to my local printer by sending dcouments attached to an email message sent to the printer's ePrint email address. But I can't seem to get past the activation stuff on the ePrint app to print from my iPad.
I'm assuming that, once I manage to get the ePrint app on my iPad activatied, the app should find my local printer (on my home network) and print to it.
Any help with this activation problem would be appreciated.
