I have a Photosmart c410a printer setup with a wireless connection to my home network. E-Print works fine. When I try to print from my Ipad 2, IOS 5.01, the printer is recognized by the Ipad. Click to print and then nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? The c410a does support AirPrint. ![]()

Hi gregfrombelmont,
I'll be happy to help you with this. The first thing you may want to try is unplugging your router, then the printer (without turning it off first), then turn off your iPad. After about 60 seconds, plug in the router and when all the lights are steady, plug in your printer and turn on the iPad.
Try printing again and let me know if this helps.
Although I work for HP, my posts and replies are my own opinion and not those of HP.

This message is a little old, but I just spent multiple hours trying to solve this problem, so I thought I would share what I got to work with others.
I found that the problem was that both Bonjour and IPP needed to be enabled on the printer for Airprint to work. By default they are both disabled. To enable Bonjour and IPP, connect to the printer configuration tool via the embedded Web browser by entering the IP address of the printer into your favorite browser, and click on the Network tab. You will see options for setting Bonjour and IPP on the left under Advanced Settings.
I also changed my printer so it was wirelessly connected to the router rather than hard-wired, but I suspect that was not part of the problem.
Hope this helps others so you do not spend as much time on this as I did!
Ken

Thanks for trying to answer but that is not the issue or problem.
I can air print connect to the hp 8500 printer sometimes.
It is not consistent though. It will work for about two to three days. Then I have to disconnect
power cord to get it working again. Then it works for another couple days w/o any issues and then quits printing using airprint.
I also have two other pc's connected to my wifi without any issues. It doesn't seem to affect the PC's only the IPADS
Do you have a solution?
