AirPrint - how to use Apple's AirPrint solution on HP ePrint Printers

Hi, I have a HP C4599 3 in 1 which is already connected to my wifi. I have bought an Ipad. I have downloaded an app and can print photos from the Ipad but not web pages or scan. What am I doing wrong. Is it not compatable. I don't want to have to buy a new printer.  Many thanks to all

Hello Blondey,

It appears that you may be using the HP ePrint Home and Biz app to print from your iPad, however the c4599 is not an airprint compatible printer.  Printing web pages and scanning from the Home and Biz app is not supported on a non-airprint capable printer such as the c4599.  An airprint capable printer, such as the OfficeJet 6500A, is required to have full functionality of printing from iPad.

Thank you. Unfortunately my printer, although only a year old, isn't an "e-print.". I haven't been able to find a software update nor 3rd party fix to allow me print from my IPad2

I have an iPad2 with the latest update to iOS 5. I can not get my HP Officejet 6500A plus e-printer to work with my iPad or my iPhone. It is also updated to iOS 5. Any help will be appreciated..

I use an iPad2 and iPhone 4s (running iOs 5, and thought (after some research) that the HP OfficeJet 6500A Plus  was AirPrint capable (maybe with a firmware upgrade)   But neither device recognizes the printer, and there's no firmware upgrade available (as far as I can tell).  Any way to fix this other than taking the printer back to Costco for a refund?
