Up until a week ago, I was able to print apps, but now when selecting the apps icon, I get an error message saying "Server Connection Error:-1". I have not changed any settings to my computer or internet connection. I am still able to print web pages, applications etc. Even though the printer states that it is connected to the wireless network, I continued to restore factory settings and re established the connection through the wireless setup wizard. I have tried everything that has been written on forums but with no luck. Any advice would be welcome.
Thank you

A couple of things to try:
-Do a complete power cycle: Turn off printer, unplug, wait 30 seconds, plug in, turn on. See if Apps work.
-(These instructions are for the Officejet 6500, so they may not be exactly the same for the 6510. Could be Settings instead of Setup.) Go to Setup (arrow to the right from printer home screen), Web Services Setup, Restore Factory Settings, Yes, OK. Then go to Apps and follow the steps to enable web services. See if Apps work.
I hope one of these works for you!

Thanks Jamie.
I have attempted both of these fixes on numerous occasions, but since your post I thought I'd give it another try. After resetting back to factory settings, I decided to go to the apps icon, and it quite rightly stated you must be connected to the internet, so at least it recognised that I wasn't. I proceeded to wireless setup wizard, entered my WPA password, confirmed settings, and it then stated connection successful, connected to network. I printed out the wireless network test results which passed on everything and showed that the signal quality is excellent. So I selected apps from the main menu and ended up with with the same error message "Server connection error: -1. There was a problem connecting to the server. Touch retry to connect again, or OK to exit. Touching retry just keeps giving me the same error message.
I am at the end of my tether with this as I think I have tried everything. Any other ideas will be most welcome.
Thanks

My next step would be to call (toll free) 1-855-785-2777 (M-F, 7 am to 8 pm Mountain Time).

Jamie
I'm from the UK. Do you have a number for HP here as I have been unable to find one?
Thanks

Julie,
I'm looking into your request. It may take some time to get a reply.
When you mentioned that you reset factory settings, that was in Web Services, right?

I selected settings/wireless/restore network defaults/yes. It then shows not connected. Then I selected wireless set up wizard/ chose correct ssid/ entered WPA password/ confirmed ok/ printer says now attempting wireless connection (wireless light flashing at this time)/ Connection successful and the wireless light is now on continuously.

Hi Julie,
Please see the private message I sent to you.
You want to be resetting factory settings of Web Services, not wireless.
I will online for about 2 more hours, then again on Monday.

Fantastic - it worked. So I then logged onto the eprintcenter, went back to the printer, selected apps, then got error code 403. So I shall have another go!!!

Sorry, I forgot to tell you that resetting web services would remove your printer from your eprintcenter.com account.
A new printer code should print when you enable web services on the printer, then you can re-add your printer to your account. You will not be able to use the same customized email address (xxx@hpeprint.com) that you had before.
