Beta Update for the HP Photosmart eStation c510a tablet

thanks for the details. the problem is, after a fresh reset (inside the device and or using the volume keys), the beta stub installer is no longer available. if i go to app updates and tell it to check, it says "no application updates available!". when i first go the device (last week), i could download the stub installer along with a option for "slide me". those options are both gone. i did a wipe reset after the beta sent me a email after walking through the install that said it was no longer available....

btw, what version is your firmware? i'll paypal you $5 bucks to do a hard reset and see if it does the same for you..

Hi,

What is your FW version after the reset?   HP said they released two versions officially and some updates is why I ask.   Also before you try the App Updater can you confirm that you first went in and uninstalled the stub App Updater from the Applications list first?   If you don't do that you will get what you said, No App updates available and no Product Update available.   With the stub installer still in the Applications list you are in a in between state of completion.

BTW, I started the App Update at FW version 104340.

I got two updates the first day I got it. Ive wiped it tons since then.

Firmware is ZEP1CN1107AR (2.2) (111120)

The HP Zeen Froyo Update = 111120!   You have it is why you can't get anymore updates.  Resetting won't  revert you back.

I would like to start by thanking "wineflight" for your patience in the upgrade instructions. I followed them and, even though it took a little patience on my part as well, it was well worth it!!

I now have  ZEP1CN1114AR (2.2) (111940).  Your help was better than any instructions that came with the C510A.

I'm new here and have firmware 112110 what does that say , everyone is talking about froyo and flash supported but there is no froyo on my hp zeen and i can't even play youtube videos.

Hi Suzanh,

I have the same firmware ( 112110) and i also don`t no if this is the latest firmware.

But i upload the flashplayer from my galaxy s and install it on the zeen tablet.

Now the zeen works better smooter and now i can play youtube on my zeen

The youtube apk i also rip from my galaxy.

more apk file`s works on the zeen but only the apk that dont need root acces.

So give it a try

Thanx for the reply , i should have removed this post actually cause i did  some diggin' on the net and i got it working too so i'm very happy now.

Even got some games on it now so i'm pleased with it.

Had one of these about a year ago, sent it back. It would only print from my I phone--not even my HP laptop. Got a deal at Staples today, everything went off without a hitch, including the OS update to 2.2 YAY!!! I can even print from my laptop, so far so good. Can't wait to try adding some Android apps.
