C310A 'cancelling' not 'copying'

 

Just set this new printer up, and it prints and eprints fine. However, if I try to do a simple copy from the scanner bed, it goes to an 'HP Cancelling...' screen. I've let it sit there for over 10 minutes before powering it down and trying again.

 

I've gone through this process 3 times now; including unplugging it and letting it sit for a minute to attempt clearing out any weird buffer issues, but it always comes back to this.

 

Any help at all would be really, really appreciated.
