Deskjet3050A on windows7 64 bit laptop with cable (wired) internet will not enable eprint, nor print or offer to print configure page, or product ip address, or information. Instruction booklet says eprint will work on wired OR wireless networks, and to push the ePrint button on printer to enable it. Doing so offers a chance to agree to terms of use, then yields a message to refer to printer documentation, which says to push ePrint button on printer, which says to refer to printer documentation, which says to push ePrint button on printer, which... You can see where this is going. nowhere. In circles. No answers.
On initial installation of software with the CD, I was told I could not set up ePrint without internet connection, which I have, but much later in process it said if NETWORK is not wireless I can't set it up, but the instruction booklet says you can. Nowhere on the box did it say "only works with wireless" it just said "if you can email, you can print". Well, I can email, but can't get the ePrint enabled or the printer to let me access any information.
Very frustrating, non-intuitive, time-consuming, and short sighted planning on this printer, is my opinion right out of the box. Whatever happened to plug-n-play? And it did not help that I had to register at 2 different sites just to post on forum to try to get help. Also worrisome that now that I have printer registered and account set up for forum to ask for help, that I have 24 hours to print the configuration page in order to get the product IP address in order to put that into a web browser to go to e web services tab to click the information sheet button, in order to get the information I need to register the printer with ePrint, when I can't even get the darned printer to enable ePrint to begin with, a step that without which I can not get any of the info I need to do anything. Something seems backwards here. Please help. I have been a huge fan of HP printers (until about 4 hours ago; this model seems to have tried so hard to be simple and intuitive that it is obtuse, confusing and complicated instead).

Walter2323, Sorry to learn that you are having this issue and welcome to the HP forums,
Have try using this tool to install the printer GO HERE give it a try please let me know if you encounter any errors.
Another Step that I will take is to disable all securtiy applications before installing the printer this will ensure that one of this application is not blocking a critical process needed to properly install the printer.
Are able to print from the computer via usb and/or wireless?
Hope this helps and let me know if I can assist you any further;
RobertoR
