Hi,

Suddenly my HP don´t scann to my e-mail. After doing same rituals as before its just a mess now; "Server Connenction Error 403 " There is problems connecting to server.."

I have tried to open scann with Mac and its possible - but not comfortable. Anyone out there with same problems - or even better -- with a solution

Hi IDESMIDE,

 

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you are getting an connection error message when you try to use the scan to email feature of your Photosmart 5520 printer.

 

There are several steps I would like you to try please. 

 

  1. Please turn off your printer. 
  2. Please turn off your router.  If your router doesn’t have an on/off switch, please unplug the power cord from the router.
  3. After waiting a full 60 seconds please turn on your router (or plug it back in). 
  4. After the router has completed its startup routine please turn on your printer.
  5. After the printer has completed its startup routine, please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
  6. Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screen shots on how to do this.   Don’t worry that the screen shots show a Photosmart 7510 printer, the steps are the same.
  7. Please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there is no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
  8. Please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

TO SCAN FROM HP PHOTOSMART 5520 TO MAC OS X EL CAPITAN

 

(1)  GO TO SYSTEM PREFERENCES ON YOUR COMPUTER

(2)  CHOOSE 'PRINTERS AND SCANNERS'

(3)  SELECT THE PRINTER YOU ARE USING

(4)  CHOOSE SCAN, THEN OPEN SCAN.  NAME YOUR DOCUMENT.

THE SCANS GO INTO THE 'PICTURES" FILE . . . YOU GET THERE VIA HOME/PICTURES AND THEN YOU CAN DRAG YOUR SCANS TO YOUR DESKTOP
