When using airprint from iPhone/iPad to HP Printer, document is printed on Photo paper and not Std Paper - how do you chaange this default? Thx!

Try checking the printer tray settings and check if that may help, those are the only settings which might be applicable fro the printer side, AirPrint itself does not offer any such control.

 

From the printer click teh Setup option, then select Preferences.

Select Printer Tray Select, then sellect Main Tray and confirm, now try printing and check if that may help.

Hi,

When you print from the Photo as example, the print will default to the photo tray and that cannot be changed.

 

You may try the HP ePrint mobile app who provide more control as papert tray selection, etc:

Thank you. But I am not printing from photos, rather printing from various Apps (eg Evernote), Share, Airprint and documents are pdf's. I guess I could Open the docs in another app, like Pages or Word, or even a PDF app, and that might work.

Actualy that doesn't work either. This is a flaw, should recognize pdfs or office documents separate from jpegs or photo files. My HP ENVY at home works just fine. Are you sure there isnt some way to fix this? Thx
