HP Savings Center - Coupons and Offers: Help and Support

[ Edited ]

NOTE:  If you see an error message when printing offers from Savings Center:

In some cases Savings Center users may experience problems printing coupons.  If you receive a Server Connection Error message when attempting to print coupons, follow the steps below to resolve that issue:

Google-print.jpg

  1. Click the PRINTERS link in the main navigation at the top of the ePrintCenter
  2. If you have more than one printer on your account, select the printer you wish to print offers on.
  3. Click the “ePrint Settings” button in the first section of the PRINTERS page.
  4. Click on the 3rd tab PRINT SERVICES in the open dialog box.
  5. Click the ON button next to “Jobs sent via Google Cloud Print will print.” Click Save.
  6. Return to the Savings Center tab and select and print your coupons.

Savings Center: Help and Support

Savings Center lets you easily clip and print money-saving offers from popular categories of grocery and packaged goods, restaurants, general retail, and local services. We partner with industry leaders across the direct marketing spectrum to deliver relevant savings for HP households. You can use the Savings Center on the HP Connected website or the Savings Bundle print app (on supported printers) to print offers.

US Only:   Savings Center and related printables are available only in the US at this time.

What you need to get started

To use Savings Center, you’ll need:

  • An account on HP Connected (currently US only) - www.hpconnected.com, to which you are signed in.  (Note:  As of May 2013 customers in the US are being moved from HP ePrintCenter to the HP Connected site.)
  • An ePrint-enabled, HP web-connected printer added to the account, with an active Internet connection

No additional software is required. All you do is set your preferences, clip offers, and print!

An “HP web-connected” printer is an HP printer with ePrint enabled, added to your HP Connected account, and having an active connection to the Internet. HP web-connected printers can be connected directly to the Internet, without a computer connection. You must have an HP web-connected printer in order to print clipped offers.  An HP web-connected printer is required to ensure secure delivery of printed offers from our Savings Center partners.

Save up to $120 a month- The Savings Bundle Printable - Coupons delivered to your printer automatically.

The Savings Bundle printable allows you to get grocery and retail coupons and offers delivered directly to your printer without a computer.   Each Friday coupons are automatically printed for your weekly shopping, providing up to $120 savings a month.

Many web-connected printers will have this printable pre-installed on the printer.  Look for the Savings Bundle printable in your app list on your printer front panel - depending on the printer they are visible at the main screen of the printer, or are available under the "Apps" option.

If they do not appear on your printer you can add the Savings Bundle to compatible HP web-connected printers on HP Connected.

VIsit HP Connected (www.hpconnected.com), sign in/create an account if required, and visit the Catalog page to see if the Savings Bundle printable is compatible with your printer.

What is a printable?

Here's a short (about 1 1/2 minute) video that shows how printables can help you, including the Savings Bundle printable.

To use the Savings Bundle printable:

  • Select the Savings icon on your printer front panel
  • Select the option to schedule/subscribe to the printable
  • Select OK to confirm

Using Savings Center for the First Time

To use Savings Center, you’ll need:

  • An ePrintCenter account, to which you are signed in
  • An ePrint-enabled, HP web-connected printer added to the account, with an active Internet connection

The following steps will give you the best Savings Center experience:

1. If you do not yet have an HP Connected account, create one, and add your ePrint-enabled, web-connected printer to the account.  If you are in the US and have an ePrintCenter account, sign into HPC using that same email address/PW you used on the  HP ePrintCenter account and your ePC account will be migrated to HP Connected.

Note: Make sure that your ePrint-enabled printer has an active Internet connection.

2. Sign in to HP Connected, and click the Services tab and select the Savings Center option.

3. If prompted, enter your Savings Center coupon preferences/settings

Your Savings Center preferences are used for both the Savings Center web site and the Savings Bundle printable.

The Benefits of Setting Your Personal Preferences

The first time you visit the Savings Center, you’ll be asked to enter your zip code and identify your categories of interest and household preferences.

Savings Center uses your preferences and the offer selections you make as you use the site to make your personalized offer stream even more efficient, showing not just the offers redeemable in your area, but those targeted to your personal preferences. And you can update your preferences at any time – including your zip code, if you move to a different location – to change or further refine offer browsing.

Personalization Based on Your Actions

To help display offers that are most relevant to you and to improve your experience, Savings Center uses information about offers that you clip, skip, and print. The types and categories of offers that you have clipped and printed are prioritized higher, while the types and categories of offers you have skipped are prioritized lower in your stream.

Use this post to find step-by-step setup and troubleshooting information for your web-connected printer.

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile/START-HERE-How-To-amp-Troubleshooting-informat...

I don’t see my web-connected printer on the printer selection page

  • Check that you have added your ePrint-enabled printer to your ePrintCenter account.
  • Check that the printer is on.
  • Check that your ePrint-enabled printer has an active Internet connection.
  • Check ePrintCenter for errors with your printer or connection.
  • Check that your router and network are functioning properly.

How can I reprint an offer when there was a problem printing?

If there was a problem printing your offers, you can reprint them once.

When offers have been successfully sent to your printer, a page appears, indicating that the offer was sent. On that page is the question “Was there trouble with your print?”. If there was a problem, and you’d like to reprint the offers:

  • Fix the problem on your printer that was causing the problem.
  • Click the text Was there trouble with your print?.A page appears that allows you to reprint your offers.
  • Click Reprint offers.

After reprinting your offers, this option will no longer be available.

How can I reprint an offer if it has been lost or damaged?

If the offer provider allows multiple prints of an offer, you can use the filters on the All Available Offers page to locate the offer and print it again. If the offer provider does not allow multiple prints, you will not be able to find the offer to print again in the future.

Why are my offers (from the web site or the print app offer sheet) no longer available?

Offers may be removed because:

  • They have passed their expiration date.
  • They have been removed by the partner providing the offer, and are no longer available.
  • They have been marked as “printed” and the partner providing the offer does not allow multiple prints.

Problems printing

If you have problems printing your clipped offers:

  • Be sure you are signed in to your HP Connected account.
  • Check that you have added your ePrint-enabled printer to your HP Connected account.
  • Check that your ePrint-enabled printer has an active Internet connection.

HP Connected sends your clipped offers to your web-connected printer, but does not provide any messages if there are problems printing. If you encounter problems printing offers, manage the issue from the control panel of your printer, where appropriate messages will appear.

Why was an offer blank or missing when I printed my clipped offers?

There is a rare possibility that in the seconds or minutes between your clipping an offer and then printing it, the partner providing the offer may have removed the offer, making it no longer available.

Why does the webpage from which I print offers only provide an estimate of the number of pages that will be printed?

The actual sizes of offers in their redeemable form vary, and can’t be determined until they are retrieved for printing. Therefore, the actual number of pages to be printed can only be estimated before printing.

Why can’t I see full-size previews of the offers I’ve selected for printing?

To keep providing you with high quality offers, we must prevent others from cheating by making copies from a full-sized preview of the redeemable offer.

Who should I contact if I have a problem redeeming a coupon?

Contact the coupon provider directly to resolve redemption issues. The name of the coupon provider is printed on each coupon. Providers may include:

  • Coupon Clipper
  • Coupons.com
  • Moneymailer

Contact information for these providers is shown below.  When you contact the provider, include: 1) A description of the coupon you tried to use, 2) The retail location where you tried to use it, and 3) Why you were told the coupon could not be accepted.

If the coupon provider printed on your coupon is not listed above, you can go to the web site for that provider to contact their customer service/support

The Offers page is not displaying properly

Some browser ad-blocker extensions or add-ons may prevent the Offers page from displaying properly.  If you encounter this issue, disable any ad-blocker extensions on your browser, restart your browser, and try again.

  • In Firefox, from the Tools choose Add-ons
  • In Chrome, from the Tools menu, choose Extensions.
  • In Safari, from the Safari menu, choose Preferences, and then select Security.

In Internet Explorer, from the Tools menu, choose Manage Add-ons.

Where can I find additional troubleshooting information and support?

You can post a message in the HP Support Forums, or contact support from the HP ePrintCenter on the Help page.

Re: Savings Center Beta: Help and Support

The coupons are sent to the printer from other providers via googles free service called google cloud print, which is why that must be enabled.
