HP3050a and AirPrint

I recently purchased the HP3050a printer as it was compatible with Airprint.  Once i set everything up via my PC, i tested the Airprint from my iPad and iPhone and all ws ok.

Hopwever, now i am finding it impssible to print from an Apple device - it just states "No AirPrint Printers Found".

I am able to print wirelessly via my laptop and PC but just not using my Apple devices.

The only method i have found that works is to physically unplug the printer frm the mains and then plug it back in - this kind of gives it a kick up the backside.  But surely that's not the answer is it??

Can anyone help please?

 I hope you are well and sorry to learn that you having this issue;

Although you can could print  at 1st from the devices check that if the router supports Bonjour (MDNS)

At the time that you are trying to print do you have the devices with bluetooth enable please unable this is known to cause issues. Turn off the Bluetooth is on to test if that is creating a problem.

Is the IOS devices update to the latest update.

Re: HP3050a and AirPrint

Thank you. I have a netgear DG834G v3 and it appears that may be the issue, after some googling. I thought it might have been ok as it does work, albeit very briefly via one of my Apple devices. After about 5 mins after I unplugged the printer, I tried again, and got the no AirPrint printers found message. Maybe time to update my router, although am waiting for BT Infinity in a couple of months, so will bear with it! Thanks you for your reply :smileyhappy:

Hi there pfhannan

This the main support page for the HP Deskjet 3050 GO HERE,

Can you try HP eprint home and biz  you can get it from the Apple app to see if you face the same issue with this app. .

Also make sure that your router supports  (mDNS) Bonjour that might be the issue.

I will also set an Static IP Address to the printer and last, I will set google public DNS servers to make sure that you are not having a DNS resolution issue  those are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Go to settings => WI-FI,  click ">" it should be to the right of the network connection you will be setting the DNS in.

I will set it as static so it does not changes if you turn the device off.

Let me know the outcome or you still need more assistance,  Include the complete model of your router and descripton of your network setup.  I will do my best to help you

Hope this helps!
