No worries, Tim. The OS is Windows 7 64-bit.

I will give it a try once I have the link from you.

Thanks!

Re: How can I AirPrint from my iPad 2 to HP M1212nf MFP?

Hi Tim,

Thank you for the link.

Sorry for the delayed response as my modem and router lost internet connectivity after my ISP provider pushed the firmware update on my modem.

In any case, thank you very much as it looks like the issue is indeed the Cisco DPC3825 modem.  I did a bit of research as well after you mentioned that there have been issues regarding connectivity with AirPrint and Bonjour protocols on the Cisco modem.

I had my ISP provider pushed a firmware patch that essentially remove the dual-functionality of the modem and router on the Cisco modem.  I had them updated my modem with a bridge-mode, and it appears that this issue is well known to them as they seem to know instantly when I said that I wanted a bridge-mode on my modem.

I had a bit of connectivity after they push the update but I was able to fix the issue after attaching my old D-Link router to the modem.  After a little troubleshooting and playing with the router and modem, I was able to get AirPrint working again on my Apple iDevices.

A big thank you goes to you as I would have never suspected that modem could be the culprit without your assistance.  In addition, I want to thank you for sending me the link to M1212nf firmware update.  I did apply the update to the printer before updating my modem also from my ISP provider.

I must say that I started out not knowing if I would even going to get a response from the HP forum but I am absolutely deligted that you were checking and moderating the postings.  I am also particularly pleased with how fast you reply to my queries and postings.

Thanks again Tim for your help and give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.  Kudos to you!  Have yourself a great weekend.

Re: How can I AirPrint from my iPad 2 to HP M1212nf MFP?

Hello, as the Originator of this post wrote, I too am having issues printing from a new ipad to an hp M1212nf MFP. I have a different setup. I've got my printer connected to a netgear switch (structured wiring through house goes to switch) and the switch is connected to my wireless modem provided from at&t. Are you aware of any issues with this kind of setup?

Re: How can I AirPrint from my iPad 2 to HP M1212nf MFP?

I have an HP M1212nf MFP printer connected via an RJ45 Ethernet cable to a Netgear DG834G wireless router.

If I follow the recommended switch on/off sequence [router - printer - IPAD 2] I can print from the IPAD 2. However after a period of time of successful working I get the error message "No AirPrint Printers Found" and cannot print without going through the equipment reboot procedure.

I can confirm I have the latest Firmware on the printer [20120206].

Please advise.
