Re: I am not able to create an account

OK folks.  Here is all the detail that I know and it worked quite well and easily for me.

Press the ePrint button on the printer console.  You will see the following among others:

Email xxxxxxxx@hpeprint.com

Use that email address to create a new account.  Use that email address and nothing else.  If the button to create does nothing it is because it does not recognize the provided email address.  I found I had to use the entire address; including the @hpeprint.com

Re: I am not able to create an account

I have tried what you suggested by finding the email address on the mini screen, I typed it  in the email field on create account page and still nothing :-(

This is not the solution! It does not solve the problem.

Re: I am not able to create an account

On the flip up screen on the printer. From fiddlng around i discovered there's an option to show your printer email address, just scroll onto it with the up or down keys at side of the mini screenand click ok and it should show up for you to write down. But as I said even if you do put this and type it into the email field of the create account form it still won't work. Hopefully HP will gets their butts into gear and do something within next 48 hrs before we all die of frustration!! :-9

Re: I am not able to create an account

I can not create an account using the eprint form. I created an account using the HP eprint app on my IPhone. I've just printed two pictures taken with my phone and an email. It works.

Re: I am not able to create an account

Hello pfaiteau and others,

Well, it finally worked for me--i.e., I was able to create the account and set up an email address for my printer.  Now, I'm finally able to print on my printer simply by emailing things to it.  Anyway, it appears to me that, sometime today, HP changed the create account form because it behaved differently tonight and therefore the "create account" button worked.  What was different was that, as soon as I entered my first and last names on the form, boxes opened up for me to re-type the email address and password, even before I typed anything in the original email address and password boxes.  Thus, on the form, I entered my first and last names, a screen name that I made up, the printer's email address which you can display on the printer's front panel and which looks like xxxxxxxxxx@hpeprint.com, the password (printer code) which can be printed by hitting "info page" on the printer's front panel when you display the printer's email address.  For me, it at first said my original printer code had expired and I should re-print the info page.  The new printer code turned out to be the same as the old one, but it now worked when I entered it as the password.  The important thing is that the "create account" button now worked and, after that, it was a simple matter to re-name my printer's email to something that I wanted that now looks like ?????????@hpeprint.com where the ???????? is something I made up.  Anyway, part of the process also let me change my printer setting to only allow certain email addresses to send emails to my printer.  In that regard, both my wife and I are now able to send pictures, etc. to the printer simply by sending the pictures to ????????@hpeprint.com, and it works perfectly.  Also, part of the process was the option to enable Google Cloud Printing which lets me print seamlessly from GMAIL to my printer.  In any case, thanks to all of you for staying on HP to fix the issue with creating the account needed to enable the HP ePrint functionality.  As they say, "patience pays."

Best regards to all of you.
