So I kinda wanted to get some ideas from individuals on possible mobile printing solutions for my environment. I have a internal network that utilizes a central print server to host several HP printer queues. I would like to be able to somehow provide a e-print solution mainly for mobile devices. Again, just gathering ideas here but can anyone provide some suggestions on directions I should explore for a possible solution?
Thanks

Hi jomille,
Probably the best over all solution would be to install the HP ePrint Home & Biz App. This app works on iOS, Android and Symbian devices. It has the ability to print locally over your network as well as utilizing ePrint if the user is out of range. Home & Biz is not available for Windows and BlackBerry phones, and you would have to use ePrint for them.
If you can give me some more information about exactly which printers, mobile devices, and your network structure, I can provide more options.
Although I work for HP, my posts and replies are my own opinion and not those of HP.

Thanks for the reply,
I would love to be able to use HP ePrint Home & Biz App for my environment. So, ill start looking into that a little more.
But, this is my basic environment setup. For our customers, we use a managed print service provider to submit jobs to our print queues. All the printer queues are hosted on a sole Windows Print Server so we would not necessarly have to go through the print service provider to submit jobs to the queues, there would just have to be some custom application I guess to submit the jobs. We mainly use HP 9050 printers across our environment and I would like to be able to provide a solution to all mobile devices, iOS, Android, Windows, etc.
Thanks for your time.

Home & Biz should work for the iOS and Android devices, but not the Windows ones. You would need to find a 3rd-party app that allows printing for those. The 9050 is not on the list of supported printers for Home & Biz (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam
There's always Google Cloud Print which might be a good all-around solution for all your devices. You can utilize virtually any printer. You would need to install all printers on one PC, install Google Chrome on it to run the "share" from, and it would have to be on for those users to print. It would, in effect, be sharing the printers to the mobile devices. Here's a link: http://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/ You would need to use the Classic Printer option to set up the 9050s. On that page, there is also a link at the top for apps that can be used to print via Google Cloud Print.
