I have check around the forums but could not find a solution. My issue is that my Iphone4, using HP Home & Biz or Printer Control can see the HP3070a and scan/print however this only lasts for a couple of minutes. To get it working again I have to restart the printer or router. I am using a Belkin Surf N300, supposedly it does not support Bonjour, however I can use Remote from my phone to Itunes and if it did not support bonjour one would think I could not connect at all. One issue I have with the router is that Port Forwarding is stopping after a couple of minutes, one of the forwards is for UDP 5353. Could this be the issue or does anyone have any other solutions. I don't want to buy another router to find the same issue

RagDaz hope you are doing well and sorry to learn that you are having this issue;
As you stated unfortunately your router does not support bonjour (MDNS) this does not mean that you will not be able to connect but that you might issues like the one you are experiencing. I will make sure that your router is running the latest firmware possible and if that does not fixes the issue (highly unlikely) I am afraid to say, your best option will be to update your router to one that does support MDNS Bonjour. If that is an vaible option for you, sorry.
Sorry I hope that it clarifies some of the issue. Let me know if I can of any other assistance.
Best of luck;

Hi RobertoR,
Thanks for replying, Belkin support came back to me as well and said that non of their routers supported bonjour, which did surprise me. Do you know what routers support bonjour? I did google but most of the posts were old.

Hello there again;
I use a Airport extreme which have support for bonjour embleded but I Have a friend that have dlink router that the specs said that support the bonjour I am fairly confident that newer model of linksys should support the protocol as well.
Your best bet is to call the different manufacturers and have what models support the protocol mdns which is Bonjour .
If I find the model that my friend is using I will update the post with that information.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need more assistance I will do my best to help you;
Best of luck;
RobertoR
And remember ....

Thanks RobertoR, I have an Airport Expres that used with an HP3050 (now replaced with 3070a as it has eprint), only issue I had was the printer had to connect through this so if I took the Airport Express away then no one could print. I am going to see if there is another way of using it
Regards
Rory
