Job status alerts

When you send a print job, an alert is sent to say the server received the job. In the body of the alert it says "If you do not want to receive ePrint status messages in the future, turn off job status alerts at www.hpeprintcenter.com."

I can find no option to turn off the alerts.... any ideas?

Re: Job status alerts

Not sure if you are in a closed/locked environment with ePrint or not.  If so, you can go into ePrintCenter, go to ePrint Settings, and deselect your email address from the list of email addresses receiving status.

Does this help?

Re: Job status alerts

Helps some.... but as I quoted in the alert (please read) it says to go and switch off alerts. I am in open mode (any email address can send).... I cannot see anyway to turn it off, even though the HP email instructs me to do so.... thanks!!!

Re: Job status alerts

I gave up and just put it on restricted use... and sure enough, the option showed up. Just an FYI to HP (like they would care...lol) there is no clue given in the verification email on how to do it....or that it only works in restricted mode.......

Re: Job status alerts

Of course they care! ePrint is something innovative and new for HP, and they're actively looking out for any feedbacks regarding the system.

Re: Job status alerts

I've been investigating the issue you raised regarding email status messages and not being able to turn them off from ePrintCenter in an open environment (no authorized users list).  You helped us find an issue - THANK YOU!!!

We are in the process of making changes to support this feature in the future for open environments.

As you stated, the only way to control status messaging today for ePrint is by having an authorized users list.

Thank you for using this forum to report the issue you found and for helping us make ePrint better!

Re: Job status alerts

That's really nice that you care but it's a year later and I don't see how I can turn off the job status alerts.  :smileymad:

I'll keep Googling for an answer though.

Re: Job status alerts

I'm in the same boat. The live chat person offered no help, either. Very annoying!
