There are currently no reported problems with scheduled delivery!
Are you sure that:
- Your printer is on, has paper, and is connected to your computer? You can check your printer connection by printing something else, like an email.
- Your computer is on and connected to the Internet? Check your Internet connection by opening a web page (if you are reading this on the HP Support Forum, you have an Internet connection).
- You are printing to a physical printer, rather than a PDF printer? Scheduled delivery does not work with PDF printers. You can choose a PDF printer when you choose to print a file directly with Print Now, but your results may be unpredictable.
- Your scheduled delivery is turned on? To check:
- Open the Universal Crossword Print Widget.
- Click the wrench icon (
) to open the Settings dialog.
- Make sure Scheduled Delivery is On.
Try to print the content now:
- Open the Universal Crossword Print Widget. You can start the program by clicking the desktop icon, or by clicking Start, then All Programs, then Universal Crossword Print Widget.
- Click Print Now.
- If you see an error message, click here for more help.
Note: New printable content is available every day. If you do a Print Now or change your schedule on a day that you have already received a print, the printed page will be the same.
Did this answer your question? If it did, why not click the Kudos! button to the left?
If it didn’t answer your question about a printing problem, click Reply to ask the community, or search the forum for other posts that might help.
Or, click here to go back to the Guide to Printing Universal Crossword Print Widget Scheduled Content.

Hi Trishapat,
If the computer and printer are left on while you are gone, they will print out normally. If you don't feel comfortable with that, you could turn the printer off and leave just the computer on. The puzzles would be saved in the printer queue, and will print out once the printer is turned on. I did that during a vacation and it worked out OK. However, there wasn't much empty memory left until the puzzles were all printed.
We have had several requests for past puzzles, here is the official response to our efforts to get back issues of puzzles or solutions to past puzzles:
HP is not allowed to keep archives of the puzzles. Our contract with Universal U-Click states specifically that we are not to archive material or distribute back issues.
There is a site online that has previous puzzles you could work on online. I'm not sure if you can print them out though:

My puzzle did not print as usual, so I tried to print it manually, but it reprinted yesterday's puzzle. (January 13)

Hi jo7,
I've reported the problem to the HP person in charge of the widget and he will check with the Universal Crossword people about their content.
Someone should post when the new crossword is available for you to print. Sorry that there is a problem with this ![]()

Hi guantanabe82,
Sorry to hear that. There doesn't seem to be a problem with the widget. The crossword printed automatically for me. You were using the Print Now, instead of scheduling it to print daily?
To get yesterday's puzzle, here is the official response to our efforts to get back issues of puzzles or solutions to past puzzles from HP:
HP is not allowed to keep archives of the puzzles. Our contract with Universal U-Click states specifically that we are not to archive material or distribute back issues.
