No connection on encrypted network

I just got my b110a printer today, intalling and set up was fine but when i came to the stage of connecting it to my wireless network, after search and finding my network name and entering my wpa passphase, it initially said connection was sucessful but immediately after it tried to connect to the internet to enable web settings i think, it saod it failed
At this point i have tried everything under the sun, when i disable my encryption via my wireless router set up sight, and make my network unsecured the printer works perfectly!!!! But i cant have a unsecure network just for the printer to work, i honestly have tried everything i can possibly think of.
I am here at a last result trying desperately trying to find answer please can someone shed light on my problem
Thanks

Re: No connection on encrypted network

Have you tried changing router to WEP?

The 'Sticky' post HERE may help. Pay special attention to_"After changing your router's security method, before attempting to connect your HP printer wirelessly, we recommend that you either restore network defaults from the printer’s control panel or turn the printer power off and then on again".

Re: No connection on encrypted network

Heh. Thanks for that, appears my printer doesnt support the encryption type, wpa share.
Looks like i have to get a new router, a 5 year old wrk54g linksys, only has wpa shared key, wep and wpa radius(whatever that is).
None of which appears to be supported by my printer, cheers

Re: No connection on encrypted network

My new wireless router finally came in the mail today, so i just finished setting it up etc etc

and again it initially didnt connect with the printer

but after changing the security settings to wp2 on a G singal only (not sure if it works on N or others, havent tried yet) but it works perfectly, seems like my old router security encryptions were no supported by the printer as stated in the sticky note posted above, i hope this can help others
