Photosmart 6520 & 6525/7520 & 7525: ePrint to 4x6 media [ Edited ]

This information is for the following printers:

HP Photosmart 6520 e-All-in-One Printer

HP Photosmart 6525 e-All-in-One Printer

HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 6525 e-All-in-One Printer

HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer

HP Photosmart 7525 e-All-in-One Printer

The following four methods should work for printing from the photo tray on these printers: 

1.  Printing from a computer via wifi connection

2.  Printing from any Android device using the HP ePrint Home and Biz app via wifi or ePrint

3.  Printing from any iOS device using Airprint 

4.  Printing from any iOS device using the HP ePrint app via wifi (e.g., you are home and both your iOS device and the printer are on the same wifi network, and when you look at the printer in the HP ePrint app it has a wifi symbol next to it - click here to see what this looks like..  

If you have any issues printing using methods 2 or 3 above, you can follow the instructions here to remove and re-enable web services, but that should not be necessary.  

The following method will not currently work for printing photos from the photo tray: 

 - Printing from any iOS device using the HP ePrint app via the ePrint cloud print - e.g., you are either at home or away from your home, and when you look at the printer in the HP ePrint app it has an ePrint symbol next to it -  click here to see what this looks like. 

If you need any help at all with the four methods above to print photos on your printer, please contact our support directly for assistance.  

We are still working on the iOS app issue above, but at this point it does not appear that a fix will be available before the holidays.  My apologies for the delay, and hopefully the four available methods for using the photo tray can be sufficient in the near term.

I just bought a Photosmart 7520.  When I print a photo from my iPhone, it always uses the 4x6 paper tray.  How do I change it to use the 81/2 x 11 tray?

If youre using the iphone i would assume you are using airprint to print, which will not give you that option.

The alternative is to use the HP ePrint app that is free in the app store and print from there. You must however make sure you are printing over the local network and not using eprint, so at the start skip the registration of the app. Then open up a picture and try to print it, this will ensure you find the printer locally and not via eprint. This will give you control over the paper size, type, and tray to use.

I just purchase the 7525 printer and the setting don't allow a person to set the eprint to the secondary tray, 4x6, 5x7.... If a resolution isn't on the near horizon I'm tempted to take it back.

It's still being worked on. HP hopes to have a release soon, but I cannot give an ETA.

I am having the same problem, when I eprint it takes the paper from the a4 paper tray. Spoke to HP and they said I would have to wait for a new model to be released. I have been mislead. Do you have any update info on this issue?

My apologies, that information is not correct.  The update for this issue is expected to be completed in the cloud, and should not require any changes to the printer itself.

I don't have a specific ETA, unfortunately...I understand how frustrating this can be.  I would guess, from what I have heard, that a release towards the end of this month is possible, but please don't take that as a confirmed date.  If we can get more specific information we'll share it.
