Re: Photosmart 6520 & 6525/7520 & 7525: ePrint to 4x6 media

So...

I am still having issues getting it to print on ePrint Home and Biz.

Is it me or still an issue with the printer?

Are you saying that you get different results if you send a picture to the printer via email vs using the HP ePrint app?

Re: Photosmart 6520 & 6525/7520 & 7525: ePrint to 4x6 media

I have not had success sending email.  It keeps bouncing back, but I am not worried about that just yet.  That is probably more user error than anything, but I want to get the ePrint to work from my phone as that is where I do the majority of picture taking from.

I want the ePrint to work, and it goes directly to the paper tray, not the photo tray.

OK, thanks for the clarification.

The fix that we rolled to the cloud on the 28th has not been accessed and used consistently by all of the 652*/752* printers already in the field when they cloud print.

We are working on a fix that will resolve that.   In the meantime, if you prefer not to wait there is an option that will allow you to force the change, but if you take this approach you will have to create a new email address for your printer.   If that is OK for you, then you can take the following steps:

1.  Remove web services from your printer (via the Web Services menu accessed from the icon on the top row of your printer's display panel that looks like a circle w/a sheet of paper in front of it).  Tap that icon, select the "Settings" option, and then select the option to remove web services.

2.  After that process completes, in that same menu, select the enable web services option that will appear.  After that step completes, within a few minutes a web services info sheet will print out of your printer w/your printer claim code.

3. Follow the instructions on the sheet to return to the eprint web site where you added your printer to your account the first time and re-add it, and create a new email address for your printer.  (The email address you used previously for your printer will not be available.)

4.  After you complete those steps your printer will print photos from the photo tray from ePrint emails or from the ePrint app.

If you can wait a bit and don't want to go through the above steps and have to create a new email address for your printer, I should be able to get updated status tomorrow (Monday PST) on the additional cloud tweak that we're working on to get all existing 652*/752* printers to use the photo tray properly.

My apologies for the additional wait for the fix to be applied for all of these printers.  And again, just to be clear, you won't see any change on your printer, all of the work is being done in our servers in the cloud.

Thanks.

This remove/re-add web services process will also remove any web services customizations you've applied, such as adding new print apps, scheduled delivery settings, etc.

I think I'll have another glass of wine and see what happens tomorrow.

Man, I hope that doesn't make me sound lazy.

Re: Photosmart 6520 & 6525/7520 & 7525: ePrint to 4x6 media

We have been able to get the fix applied for the following printers:

HP Photosmart 6520 e-All-in-One Printer
HP Photosmart 6525 e-All-in-One Printer
HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 6525 e-All-in-One Printer

We'd appreciate feedback from owners of those printers - areyour ePrint photos now printing from the photo tray?

Thanks!

Re: Photosmart 6520 & 6525/7520 & 7525: ePrint to 4x6 media

I took the manual route described  few posts ago to reset my printer a few days ago  and I confirm my printer takes paper from the photo paper tray.  Thank you for sorting this problem out.

Any news on the issue with the 7520? Mines still taking paper from the a4 tray not the photo tray
