Hi,
Please try resetting the printing system and then check for any progress:
Enter System Preferences > Print & Fax, right click the Printers background area and click Reset Printing System.
**Be aware it will remove any existing Print Queue
Now Open Applications > Hewlett-Packard > Device Utilities > HP Setup Assistant
Follow the on-screen instructions to reconfigure the device.
Now try printing...
If there is no progress yet, click the Apple Menu, then Software Update and make sure to install any available HP Update.
For any case you having any problems yet, please let us know Your Mac OS version (Apple icon > About this mac)
Your exact printer model, and how did you installed it.. eg. by the CD, from the Web. etc.

First of all, my directions are do intended for Mac,
The HP Setup Assistant is a Mac Application, available only as the full software is installed...
Therefore i have asked by the end of my post how did you installed your printer and which Mac OS version you are using.
it would highly help to clarify those in order we will be able to provide you some more accurate directions...
Regarding the right click, If you are using the macbook keyboard, simply click CTRL+Left click instead..
As you clicking the Plus button under Print & Fax, can you see the printer listed, or not at all?
Of not, it would be good to know your router version as well..

My photosmart printer is connected to the wireless router, but my Mac Air and Mac Notebook won't print wirelessly. How do I connect those computers to the printer wirelessly?
