Printer code for HP Office 6600

I  too am trying to get an e-print code off of my new HP Office 6600. Could you please help me with instructions on how to print out a product update so I can get the print code. I already have an account on Eprint center but cannot add my printer because I don't know how to retrieve the print code off of the printer. Thank you for your time.

Hello Cazimi,

Perform the below steps to print the print code.

  2. Press the > key to locate  ePrint.
  3. touch on ePrint, then select Remove Web Service , then touch Yes .
  4. repeat  step 1 and 2, then touch on ePrint , then touch Off
  5. Wait for  30 seconds
  6. Repeat Step 1 and  2, touch eprint and then e-Print , then touch ON
  7. touch on ePrint, then select Remove Web Service , then touch No.
  8. Repeat Step 1 and  2, touch eprint and then Print Info ,[ it will now print  a test report that has printer code , which you use in the eprint center ]

Re: Printer code for HP Office 6600

I first would like to thank you for your quick respond.

I have already encounter a problem with the instructions:

When I press > to locate ePrint the only icons that appear on the printer screen are Copy, Fax, Apps, Scan, Setup, and Discover. No icon that says ePrint appears.

Re: Printer code for HP Office 6600

Thank you for your respond jabzi. Another problem again.

When I touch the ePrint icon it will only state the following:

Enable Web Services.

Web Services (ePrint and Apps) are not enabled on this printer.

To enable make sure the printer is connected to the network and Internet.

Accept the terms of us and enable Web Services.

then the messages continues with a yes or no. If you press yes then it asks if you want auto updates, if you press yes it just takes you back to the icons. There are no selections of " Remove Web Services.

Re: Printer code for HP Office 6600

Hello,

Hello, Before you set up Web Services, make sure you are connected to the Internet using a wireless connection.

To set up Web Services, complete the following

steps: 1. Make sure the printer is connected to the Internet.

           2. On the printer control panel, touch (Apps) or (HP ePrint).

           3. Touch Accept to accept the Web Services terms of use and enable Web Services.

           4. In the Auto Update screen, touch Yes to allow the printer to automatically check for and install product updates. If your network uses proxy settings when connecting to the Internet, enter these settings: a. Touch Enter Proxy. b. Enter the proxy server settings, and then touch Done. 6. Follow the instructions on the Web Services information sheet to finish the setup.

Find the printer’s email address To display your printer’s HP ePrint email address, complete the following steps: From the Home screen, touch (HP ePrint). The email address for the printer appears on the display.

Re: Printer code for HP Office 6600

Again I thank you for your time.

I don't know what the problems is here. After I follow the instructions  it keeps only going back to the same message of "Enable Web Service "

Web Services ( ePrint and Apps) are not enabled on this printer etc, etc, etc.

I'm done with it, I'll just call Tech support tomorrow.

I want to thank you for your prompt respond and very helpful instructions.

I'm burnt out on trying to connect this printer to ePrint. I'll leave a message in here tomorrow to let you know the out-come. Talk about feeling like a total air-head.:smileysad:

Re: Printer code for HP Office 6600

jabzi,

I wanted to update you and thank you for your time in helping me.

It turns out that I was not connected to a wireless connection and I had to remove a connection cable  between  my computer and printer. Hp Tech Support was excellent and I'm all hooked up properly now. I was able to obtain the printer code and have added my printer to Eprint.

Again, thank you.

Re: Printer code for HP Office 6600

When you had indicated to make sure the printer and computer was connected in my confusion to me it was connected because I was on the Internet and I had printed off of the Internet with my new Officejet 6600 printer but anyway I'm very thankful and happy with the entire process.
