Scan to eprint app questions

When scanning to eprint app on iPad or iPhone, I am able to save the document but after that the only thing I can do with the saved doc is print. Can you not email or use the "open in" feature to utilize in another app?

Re: Scan to eprint app questions

Hi Pbucher,

I believe that you would need an app to open and modify the document such as "Documents to Go" or the like.

Re: Scan to eprint app questions

I actually have many of the other function apps such as docs to go, good reader, Dropbox, etc but there is no built in "open in" functionality in the eprint app. I did learn by playing around that if you select save as image as image instead of save as document you can actually save the scanned item to your photo app iOS and then email it. Still doesn't allow you to open in other apps but at least solved the email option. I really need to be able to open in other apps though.

Unfortunately that option is not supported at this time.

Re: Scan to eprint app questions

One other options i can think of would possibly be the Hp Printer Control app. This app will allow you to scan documents or images and then give you an option to email, open in facebook, and even add to google docs. You can also save the files and then perform these functions later if needed.

One thing i did notice in my testing was that apps scanned and saved in the home and biz app do not show up in the printer control app. You can also use eprint to prnt to your printer on the go as well.

Although I am working on behalf of HP, I am speaking for myself and not for HP
