Scan to google docs doesn wotk - HP6500A

Hi, I'm having a similar problem. I have the HP Officejet 6500A plus printer. It's brand new and google docs keeps giving me an error whenever I try to upload a doc to it. Any solutions?

Hi,

You can help by contacting HP as well as Google to help raise awareness on ths issue.

We need to get them to look at this issue - verify it as confirmed -and get them to provide a solution.

The challenge so far is that HP does not take responsibility for the apps - so we need to get Google going...

(And we need to make HP understand that HP _SHOULD_ take responsibility for contacting Google - we as consumers dont care whether it is HP or Google who has the software responsibility - we view the HP printer as a HP service - and expect HP to deliver....

Update: HP Support in DK are trying to find the correct contact at HP ePrintcenter to escalate to - so that HP ePrintcenter can contact Google about the Google Docs app.

If everyone else could create local support cases on this issue using the HP support email form here:

and create a support case where you hightlight the issue - and kindly ask if HP support can escalate to the right persons at HP ePrintcenter so that they can contact the right people at Google Docs - we might get a solution.

So - I kindly ask you all to participate and raise the awareness.

Is anyone at all from HP listening to this forum?

Guess if I write the F-word, a moderator will moderate my message ;-)

But - what we need are the HP ePrintcenter product responsible persons taking action, and solving an integraion problem that is hindering the intended use of our HP products.

Currently this looks more and more like a case for the Better Business Bureau or Ombudsmand.

HP - please ACT.

Why would HP care?! We already bought their product!

Oh, right, we may not be doing it again... After all - the competition in this market segment is fierce!

This app may have been the only advantage they had over other products and now it's gone :-(

In today's business environment, when quality is pretty much comparable, service is becoming the breaking point.

HP, can you find it in you to help?

I just asked the ePrint team, and I have some good news!  There is a fix in the works, and it is expected to come in December.  The issue stems from Google changing from HTTP to HTTPS.  I hope this helps!

Gave it a try last Saturday (Dec. 17) - No luck :-(

I also tried updating the printer's firmware, but no updates are available.
