I have read the solutions to other people with this problem. The Officjet 6500A is not allowing emails to print. Only answer is it is "spam", even though the messages are smaller than 5MB, only sent to the printer and not forwarded. Any other suggestions?

Hello texastransplant,
I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue but here is a suggestion you may want to look into.
1. Are you using a supported email client? here is the list of supported email clients as you can see testing does not guarantee full compatibility.
*Testing does not guarantee full compatibility
•Outlook 2003, 2007
•Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail
•Apple Mail (iPhone, iPad, Macbook, MacbookPro) "@mac.com,@me.com specifically"
•BlackBerry mail client
•Nokia/Symbian client (Nokia)
2. Try this simple ePrint test.
To: bob@hpeprint.com(Your ePrint Email Address)
Cc/Bcc: leave blank
Subject: ePrint Test
In the Body of the email just put:
ePrint working test
Send the email like that "no attachments no forwards"
*note when sending ePrint you cannot forward a previously forwarded message basically:
Subject: fwd; did this print. Is Fine
Subject: fwd;fwd; did this print. Not Fine.
4. Have someone send you an ePrint?

Thanks for the suggestions! I have sent the ePrint test email and have had my husband send the same. I can see both print jobs in "Recent Print Jobs" on my hpeprint.com site. Both are listed as Pending, which is better than Discarded but still not what I'd like! Any further thoughts? Thanks!

Hmm alright i have a few other things to look at.
1. What type of printer do you have? A lot of the times if you Re Print the information sheet ePrint will start back working and print the pending documents. If not clear the pending documents from ePrintCenter and then re try printing the information sheet.
2. How is the printer connected? (Wireless/Etherenet)
3. Has ePrint ever worked before?
4. How to Print the information sheet.
- Photosmart printers (Depending on model):
- Select Setup->Wireless->Web Services Settings> Select Printer Email address or Print or...
- Select the Web Services/ePrint icon on the front panel display. Then select "Print Report" on the Web Services status screen.
- eStation:
- Select the Menu button on the eStation display
- Scroll down to the ePrint section
- Select the blue "Web Services" settings link on the right of the ePrint section.
- Select the Print ePrint information option
- Officejet printers (Depending on model):
- Select Setup->Web Services Setup->Printer Email Address menu or…
- Select ePrint icon on the front panel display. Then select the "Print" button on the ePrint Status screen
- LaserJet printers:
- Print a configuration page from your product and locate the IP address.
- At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line.
- Click the HP Web Services tab.
- Click the Print Information Sheet button.
**Click the KUDOS star on the left to say 'Thanks'**
