cannot use eprint with iphone

Hi everyone, I have just purchased a photosmart plus cn216, as I would like to download pictures of my new grandchildren off my iphone,

Apple in fact recommended the hp as it would do what I wanted, anyway did a bit of research and dispite all the horror stories about setting up wireless and customer support,  ( or lack of it ) I plunged into it, I am no computer wizard by any standard and was a bit concerned about the set up, however I surprised myself, actually it took longer to install the four inks than connect wireless, it was an absolute doddle and was printing within 10 mins from my ipad and laptop via wireless.

However email im afraid is the problem, printing docs and pictures from my laptop via email is fine,  also my ipad, iphone via wireless fine, but when I  try with my iphone and also 3 more iphones in family via email no joy, looking at the log on printer it reports ( LOOKED LIKE SPAM OR CONTAINED VIRUS )

So tried apple tec help, they were quite helpfull but despite assurring me that it should all work,  advised me to try HP,

Ok here goes, lets try HP, they can"t be that bad, ( can they )  oh boy !!!!!!  2 hours later after being told by automatic voices to push button 3, then 2  then, well you all probably know the rest, I finally spoke to a human, who told me the obvious, ie check allowed email addresses are all ticked to allow, check correct printer email addresses, power off then on, then all will be well, errrr not quite, still cannot send email via iphones, help PLEEEEEEEESE.

Hi Sam,

What is the procedure that you follow to send the email? I suggest you to open browser on iPhone, login into your email account, compose new message or forward the email ePrint server.

If it does not work, wireless connect the iPhone to your router and open the browser to send the email.

Also, iOS devices support new feature called AirPrint which comes with iOS 4.2. These documents will help you with the AirPrint feature.

I found with my HP Photosmart Plus B210 that I actually had to send an email from each Apple device (iPad, iPhone and Ipod Touch) to the printer's email address before they nwould print to it.

Before that, the iPad would show the print option, recognize the printer, but insist that the printer was "offline" when in fact oit wasn't.

I also need help printing from email.  I have successfully printed an email from my Iphone but am having problems printing an emailed link (coupon from within an email) accessed from my Iphone.  How can I print this?  I tried twice from my Iphone, the printer was not found,  and now can't print the coupon because the link thinks I have already printed it.  Help!

Hello,

Email messages with a URL in the Subject: field do not print. URL links in the body of the email or in attachments do not print.

Check this DOCUMENT for ePrint specifications.
