eFax. Can anyone explain how this works and on what printers?

HP and eFax are rather mum on how this works. Can you set the 6500a + to save incoming faxes? What are the printers that can use this?

Hello mistercrowley,

 

Currently eFax is only available on the Hp Photosmart eStation e All in One Printer C510a. The OfficeJet 6500a Plus has the standard analog fax.

I just installed an Ofciejet Pro 8500 in a convenient location in our home that has no phone line nearby.   I intended to use the Efax capability but was told it is not available for this printer.  Needless to say - a big disappointmnet.   My sense is that it could be amde available as an app, but may not be to protect other product lines.    I believe in HP and am a stockholder, but am disappointed in this shortcoming.
