I have enabled eFax, web services and eprint on my HP Photosmart 7510 to send a fax. (I tried checking that everything is enabled and working and on the printer's side it looks ok) I have tried sending the fax but it ends up saying 'Failure - Disposition Notification'. Shortly after the scan, I get the message 'message sent to efax message server'
How can I find out where the problem is??
I also tried the fax number in various ways, with '00', '0' and nothing in front of the fax number, including country and city code.
Thanks for helping me.

Hi RobertoR
I was looking for the format for the fax number everywhere and did not find it. It is in this article - thank you!
I am able to send faxes locally, but internationally I still have a problem. I have only tried 1 international fax number, so will try another number and country to see if it is a general problem or only this one number.
Thanks again

Glad that is partially working for you.
The issue that you describe may be related with the fact that efax is not available in all countries, make sure that it is in the country that you are referring to , for more detail information please visit the http://www.eFax.com
Again please let me know if I can help further;
Best of luck;

Same issue here except that on my 7510e it just clocks as "sending eFax" with the HP logo. But the document never faxes...
Then finally times out by telling me that I am not connected to a network.
But the little blue light is on to show that I am connected to a network. Then when I check the details I am connected to my network. So something is wrong.
Any ideas?

Why would my OS have anything to do with this? I am trying to fax right from the AIO 7510 using the eFax service.
I am not using the PC at all for this. I have been trying for two days to end a fax and cant. Ive pulled the power twice, reset the MTA twice. Nothing works to get a fax sent.
This machine is a bust. Can't print from iPad or iPhone any longer. Which was the primary reaon for the purchase. Took FOREVER to get efax to recoginze the unit. Now cant end a fax. Aside from wireles printing this is no better than the Lexmark it replaced.
If it matters I am running XP SP3.

Hi Lmtdslip,
The OS might have not influence in the problem you are having, but the approach to solve it is diferent per Operating system. so It willl helpful to have it.
I will do my best to help you with your issue
Let's try the advise provided in this article
"The Fix:
First, press the ePrint button in the top left hand corner of the screen on your printer to access the Web Services menu.
Once there, press the “Settings” button.
If ePrint is turned on, turn it off and then back on. Press the return button and then press “Print Report”.
If ePrint is turned off, turn it on. Press the return button and then press “Print Report”.
These steps might sound strange since the issue is with eFax, but eFax works on the printer through the ePrint service."
This is qouted from the post linked and that was created by Kyle_W if you feel that it was helpful consider giving Kudos to him as well.
Another steps that will help,
Is to set an static (Non changing) IP address
To do this go to the
Print a network configuration page
- On the product, press the Setup button.
- Press the Right Arrow button (
) to select Network , and then press OK . - Press the Right Arrow button (
) to select View Network Settings , and then press OK . - Press the Right Arrow button (
) to select Print Network Configuration Page , and then press OK . The network configuration page prints.Figure 1: Example network configuration page - your page might look slightly different
- Make a note of the Hardware Address (MAC) (Media Access Control) and IP Address (Internet Protocol address) values on the network configuration page.
Example Hardware Address (MAC) Example IP Address Hardware Address (MAC): 001CC4116234 IP Address: 129.234.49.01
Open the Embedded Web Server
- Open a Web browser (for example, Internet Explorer or Firefox).
- In the browser's address line, type the IP address listed on the network configuration page that you printed in a previous step, and then press Enter . Type this value exactly as it displays on the network configuration.
Assign a static IP address

- Open a new web browser window.
- Type the URL for the Embedded Web Server as it appears on the test page in the address window of the web browser.
NOTE:Make sure that you type the URL into the web browser address window. If you type it into a tool bar search box by mistake, the EWS will not open.Figure 5: Example of an IP address in a web browser address window
- Press Enter . The EWS opens.
- Click Wired (802.3) , and then click the IPv4 Configuration .
- Click Manual IP . The Manual IP Address box opens.
- In the Manual IP Address box, type an IP address with the same values in the first three sets of digits (octet values) as the product's IP address (listed on the Network Configuration Page), and a higher value (between 150 and 254) in the fourth set of digits. This creates a static IP address on the same subnet, but outside the DHCP range. For example, if the product's original IP address is 192.168.0.1 , assign the static IP address to 192.168.0.200 .Figure 6: Example of an IP address with DHCP values shown
Figure 7: Example of a static IP address with DHCP values modified
NOTE:Do not type the static IP address from the example. Enter a static IP address based on the IP address for your product. - Enter the Subnet Mask (normally 255.255.255.0) and the Default Gateway settings as they appear on the Network Configuration Page.
- Click OK to save the new settings, and then click Exit or close the browser to exit the EWS.
To make sure that you are not having DNS resolution errors let set the DNS SEVERS from the one assinged by your ISP to Googles public DNS servers. which are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 the latter use as the alternate DNS in the IPv4 secition. of your conection this should be done in the router or computer to ensure that if you reset your printer it will use the dns servers of network which if done if the way describe they will not change.
Hope this is helpful, Let me know if I can be of furhter assistance.

Hi LmtdSlip,
As far as your eFax issue goes:
What router are you using?
Are you able to receive faxes?
Is your ePrint working properly? ( to test just send an email to the printer's email address )
As far as your AirPrint Issue is concerned, try the below steps!
The steps below typically resolve the issue you’re experiencing:
1. Power off the printer.
2. Completely power off the iOS devices (hold the Sleep and Home buttons simultaneously until a message appears asking you to "Slide to power off". Slide across that bar, and it should completely power off).
3. Power the printer back on.
4. Power the iOS devices back on.
5. Try to print again.
Those steps usually resolve the issue. If they do not, try this additional steps:
6. Power cycle your router (usually done by unplugging the router’s power cord, waiting 20 seconds, and plugging it back in).
7. Make sure that the iOS devices and the printer are all connected to the same network, then try to print.
Please answer the above questions regarding eFax, I would love to help you resolve your issue.
As far as your AirPrint Issue goes, let me know if your issue is resolved or not. Thanks Again!!
Although I work for HP, my posts and replies are my own opinion and not those of HP.

When I try to send a fax i get an error message that says "your printer is not connected to a network" .
i have checked and printed a Network Configuration Page and everything looks good. after reading another forum, I manually set the IP address, subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, and the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. I am still not able to send a fax And have been able to in the past.
I have also turned off and back on my ePrint. Is there anything else I can try?
