Best way to show you this if from the animation on the printer screen, that will shopw you exactly how to do it.
1. On the unit screen from the main screen press on the Question mark.
2. Press on " Help Topics"
3. Scroll down using the arrows.
4. Press " Replace ink cartridges"
5. Enjoy the show :-)

I ran into the same problem here as when I worked with College Grads on Large-scale systems on IBM main frame computers. They talk and write as though the audience has the same knowledge as they have!
The "touch screen" on the printer actually requires more than just a touch (at least for the Language and Country),
I stumbled onto actually sliding my finger along the bar until that bar turned blue. Then, it gave me an option of "yes" or "no", or "accept".
Your directions gave me the clue to keep working with the printer screen until I stumbled onto the answer, so a BIG THANKS to you. Suggest a small tweak might make it much easier for another "newbie".
As to those College Grads who looked down their noses at me, I never bothered to tell them I actually had more formal education than any of them, and scored an IQ of 192 in eighth grade.
Don't really know how the PC and printer came to recognize each other, but after installing the ink cartridges, it just seemed to fall into working as I wanted, with a USB cable.
