Hi Lil_Red,

Scan from the control panel

Follow these steps to scan using the product control panel.

1. Open the scanner lid, and then place a document in the right-front corner of the scanner glass. See the engraved guide next to the scanner glass for help placing the document.
2. Close the scanner lid.
3. Touch Home ( ) on the top left side of the product control panel. The Home menu displays.
4. Touch Printer ( ) on the bottom left side of the control panel, and then touch Scan ( ).
5. Select the scan destination, and then select the resolution.
   

   NOTE:Touch the icons displayed on the control panel that correspond with your selections.
6. Touch Scan . The document scans.

Hello I've followed the printer instructions to scan to tthe ocmputer but then asks if I have loaded the software onto my pc.  My pc has not reacted to the scan so any ideas what I should do?

Hi HPJohnN,

Open Solution Center and make sure you have Activate scan to computer enabled.

many thanks - I discovered i needed to double click on the printer and follow the security instrucitons provided by the help facility.
