Accepted Solution

my spouse purchased an officejet 6600 for me to upgrade my photosmart all in one B209a,

he was assured it had memory card slots for my camera, when we opened it we found it had not got any memory card slots and came without a usb cable which we had to pay an additional $30.00 for, he was also told the ink included only held enough to start the printer up and should purchase extra ink cartridges, what a rip off, there is enough ink supplied to last quite awhile and not having memory card slots it is of no use to me.

It is only for home use, the fax is okay but not essential as we hardly ever send faxes except once in awhile, photo quality is the most important thing to me.

Now we have to go to the trouble of sending this back and purchasing another printer, we were told the 7510 would be the best for me, can anyone who owns one please give me there review of this printer.

Re: my spouse purchased an officejet 6600 for me to upgrade my photosmart all in one B209a,

The Photosmart 7510 does have memory slots, see page 11 of the manual here.

Printers typically do not come with cables, the store would prefer to sell you one.  I usually pick them up at the Dollar Store for $1, there is nothing special about standard USB cables.

I do not have a 7510, but a Google search turns up a lot of reviews.

Re: my spouse purchased an officejet 6600 for me to upgrade my photosmart all in one B209a,

Hi,

The printer does have a card reader. It sits on the left hand side of the paper tray, it also has a light next to the reader. You can see at the top of the reader marked DUO, and at the bottom: SD and MMC. USB cable is included in the box.

Regards.

Re: my spouse purchased an officejet 6600 for me to upgrade my photosmart all in one B209a,

Thanks for the info, however my husband could not find the memory card slot so he returned it and purchased a photosmart 5510 e printer instead, installed it just fine and it was working and printing but now it will not print,

human error I know but will contact support on how to set it up properly, registered for HP e Print Mobile printing okay ,not set up the fax yet but problems today getting it to print, it is marked as default and desktop is wired, printer is running wireless.

Re: my spouse purchased an officejet 6600 for me to upgrade my photosmart all in one B209a,

thanks for the info, you are correct in saying the manuals are useless, as for only paying a dollar for a USB cable from the dollar store, I wish, the cheapest we could get a 6 foot one for was $25.00 everywhere else we tried wanted $30.00 +,It ran great yesterday when I installed it but today it will not run wirelessly.I also need to go to the eprint site and change my e.mail address, the only one they would accept is too hard to remember, had not set up the e.fax,
Now I have to figure out why it no longer works wirelessly. Thanks for the info.

Re: my spouse purchased an officejet 6600 for me to upgrade my photosmart all in one B209a,

:smileyhappy: Thanks but my husband returned the 6600 and purchased a 7510e all in one instead, worked great when I set it up wirelessly yesterday, now it will not print, sure it's a user error but have to figure it out.

Thanks for the info.
