officejet 8100 - set up eprint, but won't enable

The printer printed instructions with a code. I entered the code and it appears on ePrint. However, the ePrint site says that eprinting is disabled. How do I enable it? Pressing the ePrint button on the printer only spits out the same code I already registered. If i try to add that code again it says it's invalid. Any jobs I send to the email address for my printer at ePrint fail...it says that it was discarded because ePrint is disabled. HOW THE H-E-DOUBLE-HOCKEY-STICKS do you enable it!?!?!? I click on "Apps" to try and get an app that I know this printer can get (HP told me this when I had to buy this printer because THEIR printer (photosmart) broke after a year and a half...but it was after the warranty) and the site tells me the printer can't get apps???? AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

Re: officejet 8100 - set up eprint, but won't enable

After being on the phone forever with someone I couldn't understand at all, while on hold, I read online that you turn the printer off, then on. Turn wireless off, then on. Hit the ePrint button. Worked. Stayed on. Ridiculous...but it worked. But...a while later after sending a print job via email to the printer...and after it printed, the ePrint turned off on it's own again (both online at ePrint Center and also on the printer itself). Tech Support suggested I exchange it for a different printer. The e-Print for this one is too buggy.
