photosmart 5510 - wifi ok but ePrint not ok

Hello,

 

I got a brand new 5510 e-all-in-one

 

It is connected to my wifi modem and my 2 laptops are connected too.

I can print from both my laptops to the printer, scan is working, etc.

 

However, I can't set up the ePrint ...

When I thouch the screen of the printer to set-up the ePrint, I got:

 

"Accept Terms of Use and Enable Web Services? Refer to printed Guide"

 

So I click "yes". Then I got:

 

"Periodic product updates are required. Accept future updates".

 

So I click "yes" (even I tried "no", but same result). Then I got an error message:

 

"The download was unsuccessful. Touch Retry to restart downloading or Ok to Exit."

 

Anybody can advise me what is the issue ?

 

Is it my wifi modem which is not leeting the printer go onto internet but still allows it to speak with both my laptops ?

 

Thank you for your help and advice on how to procceed as I'm not good at all this electronics stuff ..

Ok assuming that any of your Laptops have Win XP or Later; Try this tool to see if it finds any error. GO HERE

Thank you for this tool.

However, except the fact that I can see a red cross between the printer and the ePrint, it doesn't help to solve the issue ...
I'm sure there is something with my modem, proxy stuff ... but I can't solve that alone :s

So if you have any idea, I'm keen to try anything !

Hello there again

 

Did the tool gave you any error code or something other than the red X or cross between the printer & the symbol of eprint? Let me know.

 

Make sure that your router have the latest firmware and the printer does as well.

 

 

Did you sign-in to the service in HPeprint.com  and have all information related the printer if you have not

GO HERE.

 

Before doing this try the troubleshooting article in HPePrint help. GO HERE

 

and before that trying all this you can read this post in regards troubleshooting ePrint Click here 

If you have done all this try this:

  

  • Clearing all internet history and more importantly Cookies.
  • Restart both the computer and the printer,  try to reconnect to HP ePrint. if that did not work
  • IF this is a viable option for you. Use another browser i.e. firefox, chrome,Safari or Internet explorer.
  • Try disabling all security application to see if a process is getting stop or Quarantine by one of them.

 

Let me know the outcome I will do anything I can to assist you furhter if needed.

Nothing works, I tried millions of troubleshooting and still ePrint doesn't work.
 
My 2 laptops with Windows7 are connected to my wifi modem (just a simple one, plug and play, I know nothing about proxy or stuff like that...). And this wifi modem is connected to internet for sure (I'm writing to you now ...).
 
The printer is connected to my 2 laptops via this wifi modem, I can scan/print. The wireless home network works.
 
But I cannot set up the ePrint.
When the printer searches for update, after 1sec, I got the error message.
 
What is stange is that on the screen menu on the printer, I see nowhere the "Enable Web Service" option.
Is it possible that this tool is missing from the printer ?
I registered on internet, I think I did everything right, but I didn't accept anywhere on the printer this Web Service.
 
Your help is more than welcome, I become crazy about that stuff !

I have the exact same problem , the wifi is ok but eprint is not . I used to like hp products but after this major issue , I'm really upset

I gave back the printer to the shop(Office Depot).

they sent it back to HP technical center and kept if for 29 days !!!! while it was a brand new printer ...

 

Any way, now it's working, I'm sure there was a driver/software missing in it fromits construction ...

Maiash Sorry to learn that you are having this issue;

 

Aer refering to the HP Photosmart 5510 e-All-in-One Printer - B111a?

What Operating System are you using?

What router Brand and model? Is the router udated to the latest firmware?

How the printer is connected to the network by WIFI?  

 

 

Let's take several steps to try to fix or isolated the issue.

 

Let's make sure that the firmware of the printer is up to date.

Go to software and drivers download and select your operating system.  Upgrade the firmware of the printer.
