Hi Lisa,
Could you please explain in detail? The printer you are using, how it is connected, are u able to use Apps and ePrint?
FAQ's for efax at below link:

I have exactly the same issue.
It seems eFax's policies on free accounts have changed to now only allow you to receive 20 faxes and you can only send with a premium account. I personally bought the printer due to my low fax volume requirement and the fact it was free to send as part of the printers functionality.
eFax just sent me an email stating their free allowances, I have also been trying to figure out what exactly I did wrong. It seems trusting HP and buying the printer is the problem, everything else is reasonably nice with the printer. For me it would of easily been a deal breaker.
Trade descriptions is the route I would suggest. How you label fax on a printer that cannot fax without additional services is beyond me. When I realised there was a free account I stuck with it, wish I hadn't.

I have a C510a with all the latest updates and all the services enabled. Any fax you try and send just says busy... and then fails.

Hi,
At the eFax home screen, do you see the number displayed for Sent and Received Faxes? For this feature we can send 20 faxes and receive 20 faxes free in a month. You can try printing a fax log report by going into the Settings option.
Also have u tried sending the fax to a different fax number? Does the problem appear when u fax to local or international?

Thanks for the Reply,
I have an eFax number on the screen, There are 0 sent faxes, 0 recvd faxes.
Unable to obtain account status is always displayed, so I reenter my fax and pin and it says its fine the first time its entered then fails the next time I go on.
I have tried faxing myself, and the phone never rings, it just says busy on the Zeen part then failed after some time.
Is it not the fact that eFax no longer offer free fax sending ... 0 Send / 20 receive is the tarrif eFax told me today.
I just ditched eFax as I didn't want to spend the money for something I rarely use, Bought this printer, low and behold, back to square one, you can't even print to fax on it, it is stupid !
Should of brought a Brother printer for Fax capability, will keep this for general house based stuff now, generally a waste of money, congrats HP, I will never buy a product from you again ![]()

But I have tried setting it up again. This has nothing to do with me not being able to enter a postcode, I figured that out on my own after about 10 seconds of entering it in different ways. I gathered it was some sort of validation...
Anyway back to the problem at hand, it promises 20 sends 20 receives but both fax numbers entered just say the number is busy all the time, someone needs to talk to efax from hp and get the systems talking to each other because there is apparently little understanding or a lack of honesty with your offering.
Problem remains, can't send says number busy on send screen to a phone number I own, it doesn't ring nor have my clients received faxes (all national)
So any more ideas, did you see in my post above that efax sent me a message saying thank you for using out free service that allows you to receive faxes, why nit upgrade to send them too.
So what's the deal HP say I have 20 sends, HPs efax app says I have 20 sends then an email welcoming me from efax says I have 0.
I believe the 0 because that's how many I can send, HP here is a phone, efax here is a phone... Comunicate and then fill me in.
