Can I cut my own picture paper for the sprocket?

Is it no longer good when out of ink?

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

The Sprocket uses a special paper (called "Zink") that has ink impregnated in it.  You cannot use regular paper.  The picture is developed thermally in the paper, and the Sprocket has no ink at all.

FYI you can purchase the HP Zink Paper online at the HP Store (~$10 for 20 sheets)
