HP TouchPad will not charge

Have you tried twisting the barrel of the adapter to be sure it is locked in correct position?

touchpad screen is showing the battery icon with a question mark in it - there is no way of getting touchpad to turn on or even charge it. If it is still under 1 yr warranty, just call hp support. They will send replace the battery or the unit free of charge. Good luck to everyone!

Well I am having problems charging the thing.  What I don't understand is why HP after trying to fix it and using a charger they had did not bother to send a new one back ?  I then asked for them to send me a new charger cuz the tablet returned to me by them would not charge and I thought I would be sent a complete one but no they sent just the end of it and not the cable.  Seriously are things done in this way to just frustrate the customer ?  When I first looked to send it in I wanted to send the tablet and the entire charger in so they would have everything I had and could isolate the problem but they said no don't send the charger.  To me this makes no sense.  Seriously HP get it together or I will have to take my business elsewhere.  I buy printers on occasion from you and I bought this tablet.  If you want me to look at more items you have try harder and make sense when you are dealing with customers.  

Another thing ..

Did they just use an HP Touchstone to charge it up and send it back ?  If so that is not fixing a product.  I want to be able to charge it the other way as I do not have an HP Touchstone.  My product is under warranty so fix it and stop playing around.

I have two HP Touchpad for each of my kids and both chargers went,one of them for the second time in just about 4weeks after it was replaced with a new one...I got tired of buying these no good chargers and use the charger for my tablet which is a Vizio model #VTAB1008 and the charger worked fine on both HP Touchpad.I then went on ebay and ordered two replacement vizio chargers for each HP tablet...No charging issues since...

I am having the micro usb issue as well. I have to prop somthing under the USB charger into the touchpad to get it to charge. Anyone know how to fix this?! I dont want to have to do this constantly, hopefully just the micro usb part and not internal is the issue.

My guess it's the female internal jack.  Accidentally yanking the cord out of it could have loosened/broken something.

You could always use another micro-USB cord with the charger to determine if the original cord plug is defective.
