Microsoft Windows 11

Running into some issues that are requiring the use of the password. Don't ever remember setting up a password for this printer. None of the suggested default passwords work. Please help.

HP has started adding a unique password to virtually all machines they produce and that serial number is on the back of the printer near the serial number. Early model Z9s did not have a password as standard so unless they started to then the default would be blank. If someone has programmed a password then you will need to perform a disk wipe in order to clear the password. Find yourself the service manual online as that will contain the steps needed to access service modes so you can perform the disk wipe.
