Hi @Victor2001,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering a frustrating issue with your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop while playing videos. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue.

  • Update Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause issues with video playback. You can typically update your drivers through the Device Manager or by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest drivers for your specific model.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is fully up to date. Microsoft frequently releases updates that can include fixes for various issues, including those related to video playback.
  • Adjust Power Settings: Sometimes, aggressive power-saving settings can cause issues with video playback. Try adjusting your power settings to ensure that your laptop isn't aggressively throttling performance while watching videos.
  • Disable Hardware Acceleration: Some video players, particularly web browsers, use hardware acceleration to improve performance. However, this feature can sometimes cause compatibility issues with certain hardware configurations. Try disabling hardware acceleration in your video player settings to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Check for Overheating: Overheating can cause system instability, especially during resource-intensive tasks like video playback. Make sure that your laptop's cooling system is functioning properly and that the vents are clear of dust and debris.
  • Test with Different Video Players: If you're experiencing issues with all video players, try using a different video player to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is specific to a particular application or if it's a more widespread issue.
  • Run System Diagnostics: HP laptops often come with built-in diagnostics tools that can help identify hardware issues. Run a thorough system diagnostic to check for any hardware problems that may be contributing to the issue.

Hopefully, one of these steps will help resolve the issue you're experiencing with video playback on your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop.

Take care and have a good day.
