Alignment using targets

[ Edited ]

If anyone is doing serious scanning, they know alignment using targets is the only way to get quick and accurate auto-alignments. You won't be able to fully appreciate alignment using targets unless you do large parts. Targets provide a means to align scans using only a few number of common points between successive scans, thus making the process fast and accurate.

Is there ANY plans to implement automatic target registration and alignment in DAVID?

Re: Alignment using targets

This as well as different calibration patterns and better non HP turntable support are sorely needed.  Einscan and others will take thier place if they don't innovate.
