HP 3D Scan (David V5) USB License Key
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In order to not lose or damage my David 5 license key, I leave it plugged into the back of my computer all the time. Today, when I went to launch David 5, I was told that there was no valid license key.

Upon checking, the computer is not even recognizing or mounting the USB key device. I've tried multiple USB ports, rebooted the computer, and tried it in a different computer, all with the same results.

In fact, from my powered USB 3.0 hub, it looks like there is a problem with even powering up the device. It tries powering it up several times (by the looks of the LED on the hub) before finally giving up. And yes, I also tried plugging it directly into this computer. The computer doesn't even register it showing up on the USB.

So what can I do to get it replaced? I'm reluctant to send it in to some general corporate service address unless I know for sure that whoever receives it will know how to process it.

When I try launching the software, it does present me with a long RegID string, which I'm guessing came off the USB key when it was working.

I do have my old V4 USB key (which could theoretically be upgraded to V5), but I am now using a dual camera setup, so really need V5. And, I would like to have the V5 key replaced in any case.

Can I get instructions on exactly what I need to do to make that happen? Thanks!
