Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

If I am scanning more than a few pages, the scanner will reach a point where it will continually stop the scan in the middle of a page.. My only choice is to turn the printer off and back on again. Then I have to wait for the scanner to be ready, which is a few minutes, to continue, It's time-consuming and annoying. 

Also, this printer won't let me use Apple's Capture Image app any more, so I am using HP Scan. 

I want to mention, just in case there is a fix, that I am constantly having trouble getting the page on the glass so that the image is not cut off at the top or the bottom. Are there guides to use?

What is the error you get when you try to use the Apple Image Capture app?

How is the printer connected to the MAC?

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

 

Update HP Easy Scan: Open HP Easy Scan. On the upper bar, click HP Easy Scan, click Check for Updates, and then install any available updates.

Try scanning. You may also try using the Apple Image Capture app. 

 

If the issue persists, we will have to reinstall the printer and the HP Easy Scan app.
