Nvidia CUDA cores for processing scan data in David

[ Edited ]
Product Name: David
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am wondering if its possible to utilize Nvidia CUDA cores to process scan data?

My hope is to speed up the process of producing a scan, alignments and fusion.

I have a K5000 gpu now and would like to aquire a Tesla  C1060 computing processor if it will assist the software.

Any help would be great

Re: Nvidia CUDA cores for processing scan data in David

Sorry for the late reply, I was checking this topic for myself also.

There is no special benefit from Nvidia CUDA technology to the scanning app. I will try to do some benchmarking with different type of computers to see how different CPUs and GPUs are affecting scanning time.
