misalignment error

Hi

It appears that most of your scans are all taken only showing two sides of the block.  Unfortunately this doesn't provide a lot of overlap between scans and the alignment algorithm is producing the results that you are seeing.

It may help to scan the block from an angle such that the camera/projector combination can see at least 3 faces of the block at a time.  Then you can align subsequent scans to the scan that has the 3 faces, and continue the alignment process from there.

misalignment error

The alignment accuracy in an application will depend on two key things: the IMU's misalignment errorand the precision of the mechanical system
