Hi @Rjm25,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I’m truly sorry to hear about the situation with your HP 14‑cf2111wm laptop. I know how worrying it can be when a device suddenly stops working, especially after an accidental spill.

Suggested troubleshooting steps:

  1. Do not attempt to power on repeatedly
    • Water exposure can cause short circuits. Continuing to try powering on may worsen internal damage.
  2. Disconnect all power sources
    • Remove the charger and, if possible, the battery (some models have internal batteries, so this may require service).
  3. Drying period
    • Place the laptop in a dry, ventilated area for at least 24–48 hours. Avoid using heat sources like hair dryers, which can damage components.

Since liquid damage can affect the motherboard or charging circuits, professional servicing is often required. An HP authorized service center can run diagnostics and determine if components need replacement.

It sounds like the laptop may have sustained internal damage when charging was attempted after the spill, To get you the best assistance, we need to take this conversation to a private chat.
