HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 (4V9Y3AV)

Need to add second monitor to my laptop. It has only one HDMI port and I'm told that my laptop won't support an extender connection. Then I was told to use the USB-C port, but I'm told that won't support an extender connection either. I was then told to use an external graphics card. So...would that work? What type would I need? Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Its specs

It has one hopeless USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port; 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only; charging or external monitors not supported) port.  If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

Option: Use USB-A dock such as
